DEMO Ramsete version 2.5 (or is it 0.5)
Ramsete Lite is version 0.xx
Ramsete Classic is version 1.xx
Ramsete II is version 2.xx
The Demo version of Ramsete is a stripped-down version of Ramsete Lite, so it is version 0.xx DEMO.

AUdioConvertor: AudioConvertor does not work Pressing Browse button crashes the program, one has to be the first 'Computer administrator' on the computer...
Currently Vrejis is the only user who reported this problem, however we are investigating this. Generally speaking, I do not think that under Windows it is a good idea to have many users, with different privileges. Windows is an OS not suitable for multiuser, use Linux/Unix if you want to ensure privacy and secure user rights on the same machine. Windows machines are cheap, if you have many users, buy many machines, and leave every user to be the only administrator of his machine. This always worked fine here, and my University has something as 1500 Windows PCs...

Would be nice if the programs (I think all of them) would remember the last used directory.
It is planned for Ramsete 2.60

CAD: after changing the material database (to English and/or due to adding 'grass') , and then checking material in CAD; the materials have become 'unknown' when doing <return>. <need to check more>
If you Edit/change the Ramsete.mat file when the drawing is opened in ramsete CAD, the CAD does not "know" that the Ramsete.mat file has changed. In a work well panned, first the user should update the RAmsete.mat file entering all the new materials needed. After saving the ramsete.mat file, one opens the CAD and starts drawing...
However, it is possible to update the Ramsete.mat file later, but this must be done with the CAD closed.

CAD: How do I select a roof? <need to check more; in simple case it seems to work, in a more complex I had problems, need to understand better first>
Juts click on it, after having selected the "arrow" tool from the toolbar...
This holds true for any other entity (wall, floor, source, receiver, etc.)

. Convolver: Does Convolver have a file browse function? It hangs when file not correct/found (init...' message).
Convolver is old and buggy, it will be dropped in the next release, as nowadays freeware software exists doing the same in a better way. See for example Gratisvolver (search on Google)...

For the help files Ramsete View (and perhaps other programs) starts up Internet Explorer based shell, while my default browser is another one.
This is a bug, we will fix this in the next release...

can I assume that Trev is T60?
NOOO! T60 does not exist in the real world, it is just an historical definition. Ramsete complies with ISO3382 standard. So Trev is T30.

Features of DEMO?:
. Impulse response can't be seen in graph, BUT it can be extracted in .__a file or by using rams2wav.exe
This limitation is of the Ramsete Lite version, not of the DEMO version. The typical Ramsete Lite user does not even know what an Impulse Response is...

Tracer: Small objects don't receive always rays, so they are not 'seen' (due to the value of Subdivision level=2 in Tracer).
True!

A nice colored and animated SPL graph is not easy to make in Ramsete at least in DEMO version.
Uhm, if you mean a bar-chart of the spectrum of the SPL at a point, this is not easily done also in the not-demo version of Ramsete...
The expected way to obtain this is to export the table of results to Excel (by Copy and Paste) and to make the chart in Excel...
But I do not understand how this chart can be animated...

View: If I do a DoContour2D.../3... I get "Run-time error '429' ActiveX component can't crease object".
This also occurs in the not-demo versions, because you are selecting the "use Surfer" option and you do not have Golden'Software Surfer installed, so the OS warns you that the program attempted to use a not-existing object. If you want to use Surfer, you should install it....
It is assumed that any Acustician has Surfer, as this is the basic tool which is employed for creating color maps and contour line charts, starting from measured values... Generally speaking, Ramsete is designed in such a way to be easy to be used by a guy who already makes acoustical measurements of the same parameters that Ramsete computes, and who is used to render graphically the results of his measurements. Then using Ramsete becomes much easier... And I do not think that a simulation software can be employed without substantial experimental work, doing measurements for ensuring that the software is being used correctly...

. View: Colors are not redrawn when using 'Auto Redraw (like when have a map and then change 'Focal Length').
This is not a bug, but a deliberate choice. AutoRedraw refers to the geometry, not to the colour map. We could consider adding an "autoremap" option n the following release, but I prefer that the user makes a new "DoDither" for getting the new map after changing something...
